Business Growth Services. The caffeine hit you need.
Most businesses, managers, and solo-entrepreneurs need an energy boost from time to time. This is one of my favourite spaces, where I maximise my 20+ years of experience, and where I’ve discovered best practices and methods for helping you gain clarity around the goals you want to achieve and setting out clear actions you need to take to reach them. I would love to work with you to inject some new energy and life into your business.

Marketing Review & Strategy Planning
I review your current marketing strategy and future business goals, then see where opportunities can be made and which marketing channels you should be focusing on. We will work together to analyse products and services, sales volume, share of market, competitive status, markets served, distribution system, company capabilities, strengths and weaknesses, past advertising programs and customer personas. Once this has been reviewed I create a marketing plan to determine your marketing goals and objectives, routes to market and a content and ad strategy to fit your budget. Once you have your marketing plan, you can implement it yourself or keep mondayfriday on board to put it into action.
Business and Product Naming
Coming up with a name for your business – on your own – is a tough job. It requires a mix of many skills and experience, because it doesn’t just start and end with brainstorming on your own and with friends and family. Consider the research that goes into brand and product naming:
- Research into your market to identify opportunities and seize those gaps
- Research into trademarks and registered entities in your industry
- Investigation of available domain names
- Looking ahead at possible product names that fit into your brand’s estate and brand architecture
- Public perception of your business name ideas – what people would think of your name, does it tell them what you do, does it set you apart, is it memorable, is it relevant?
Over the years I have earned a reputation for creating brand names that become the foundation for the stories brands want to tell. Click here to see some of the brand names I’ve created for startups, companies and products.
Competitor Research & Analysis
Competitor analysis tells you who your customers are, what they need and what challenges they face. If you don’t know what your enemies—or business competitors—are doing, you’re only fighting half the battle. This is advice I give to all my clients.
Competitive analysis begins with research. It involves finding out who your competitors are, what products or services they offer, examining their content marketing strategies, familiarizing yourself with their content, and more.
Competitive analysis requires time and effort, but the depth of the research will be different from one business to the next – it can be as comprehensive or as simple as it needs to be. If you’re in a highly saturated market, the research might have to be deep and in-depth. And, if you’re launching a new product in a market that is largely untapped, just a little competitive analysis will go a long way.
With over 16 years experience in competitive analysis, I have developed my own formula and use tools in technology that help with the legwork, speeding the process of finding information.
Creating your Elevator Pitch, Value Proposition & Positioning Statement
The cynics will say: you can’t just open a coffee shop anymore. There’s already one on every corner.
That’s why when someone asks: “What does your business do?”—what they’re really asking is: “What does your company do that’s so special?” or “Why should your company exist?”
Every business should stand on four legs: values, a mission statement, a vision statement and a value proposition. Most people are confused by the marketing jargon, and don’t exactly understand the difference between these terms:
– Value Proposition
– Mission Statement
– Unique Selling Proposition
– Elevator Pitch
They are all very different because their purposes and sales impact are very different. Let me help you navigate through the roadblocks and identify specific benefits that make your business stand out when compared to other businesses in your market. Forming an opinionated and deliberate USP helps focus your marketing strategy and influences messaging, branding, copywriting, and other marketing decisions.

Building your Brand
Building your brand is a process that can start in the very beginning – when you start your business; or it can start when you realise that you need help to drive awareness and increase sales through brand activation or other methods. I have assisted companies at various stages with their brand, and most recently worked with a company who exceeds sales targets and is the leader in their field, although they wanted consistency in their business documents and customer communications, and that is where I stepped in with ‘brand building’.
A successful brand has to be consistent in communication and experience across
- Environment
- Print & packaging
- Website & online advertising
- Content marketing
- Social media
- Sales & customer service
I absolutely love learning about my clients. The opportunity to meet together and brainstorm on your business is something that I live for – whether online or in person. Those meetings are both fun and relaxed as well as productive as I ask the key questions that identify what’s important to you and the challenges you are trying to solve. Getting to know your unique business is the starting point to any recommendations or pricing of work I do for you.
Defining your Services and Products
This is a popular stand-alone piece of work I am often asked to work on. While many clients I work with are already comfortable with their brand; they may already have their value proposition, USP, etc. nailed, but they are in a growth phase and are launching new services. They need concise work on creating or improving service offerings, naming, definitions, product descriptions, marketing communications and marketing collateral.

Creating and controlling your personal brand, as well as your business profile is extremely important for potential clients and partners to see you visibility as an expert in your field. The more visible you are in the public’s eye, the greater your chances of being viewed as an expert with whom clients and prospects are proud to be associated. I help company owners, solo entrepreneurs and their employees raise their social media profiles to add credibility and gain thought leadership.
Creating your Client On-Boarding Process
Client onboarding begins once you have buy-in from your client that they’d like to go ahead with your services. A poor client onboarding experience will have clients feel like they made the wrong decision and may ultimately cause them to leave. The process varies according to your business, and I provide a step-by-step checklist of actions that need to be taken to achieve an outstanding client onboarding experience. Some client onboarding actions I can help your business with are:
- Welcome email
- Onboarding questionnaire
- Compliance, Billing, ensuring your invoices and contracts and agreements are up to scratch
- Introducing your team to your client
- Follow up methods
- Welcome packages
