Dewpoint Industries is a construction material wholesaler in Cape Town, South Africa. Their company also has a manufacturing line of products under the Dewpoint umbrella. CEO John de Rooy hired mondayfriday for a complete brand overhaul, as the company was dominating their market and outgrowing their marketing approaches.
Working closely with the company, I realised that I needed to first do a brand audit, which outlined gaps for me to improve the foundation that the team had already built – which was solid. I identified new ways to market through improved distribution channel marketing, email campaign marketing, video marketing, and product marketing on-site.
The Work:
- Rebrand, Logo Redesign
- Product Naming and Brand Family Estate Setup
- Website Redesign
- SEO
- Email Campaigns
- Distributor Network Marketing
- Video Marketing
- Product Design & Packaging
- Data Sheets
- Product Catalogs
- Visual Merchandising & POS Materials (Posters)
Logo Design Concepts
Dewpoint Industries had a very clear brief to me, which included the primary colours of black and orange. The logomark was to also incorporate the letters ‘D’ and ‘I’. I created a few design concepts for John which were explored in detail. The final logo was vastly different, but captured exactly what the client was looking for and was a lot more vibrant with a red secondary colour, supporting the primary palette of back and white.
